How to Attract Moths to Your Garden
Posted: Jun 18, 2002
Want more moths in your yard? Plant night-blooming flowers like jasmine, honeysuckle, or moonflower. Moths love those. I put a moonflower by my porch and now I get moths almost every night.
Keep a porch light on, but not too bright. Sometimes a regular lamp works better than a floodlight. I use a white sheet to make a “moth wall” and it totally works.
Don’t use pesticides! They mess up moths and butterflies and all the good bugs. If you see caterpillars on your plants, let them chill. You might get a Luna moth out of it.
If you have a garden, send me pics! I wanna see what flowers work best for moths. Post them on the imageboard and I’ll feature the coolest ones.
